1st International Conference: Territory as a Common Good.Communities, Countries and Landscapes as Territorial Heritage and Resources to Cope with the Ecological Crisis organized by Arci Solidarietà Viterbo, Lamone Natural Reserve and Farnese Municipality, as part of the PRO.GRE.S.S. project (CERV programme).
The event will be held online, on the 22th of June 2023, at 17:30 (Brussels time).
Inland areas, small rural villages and communities living in marginalized territories, can play a key role in offering local solutions to global issues such as climate change and ecological crisis. Countries and territories that are often perceived more as negative, failing places, always lacking something (of stimuli, services, possible futures), inhabited by rhetoric that struggles to enhance and incentivize the vision of what is still there or could be there again. We believe that countries should be resources, in terms of landscape heritages, enogastronomic assets, environmental and ecosystem services, on which it is important to return to focus, precisely reversing the “metropolycentric” perspective that has created and creates distortions and inequalities.
